Purple Crush

I have a crush... on purple.
Picture this outfit, me in it, at the Cinematic Lifestyle Featurette Premiere.  Is it just me or does this need to happen?

Pumpkins with Spice

Don't be fooled into thinking pumpkins can only be orange.  The beauty of mother nature is that her color palate is limitless.  My favorite fall accessory of the moment is pumpkins - much like the ones above that are a wonderful DIY project from the fabulous Eddie Ross.

I think the beauty of a tablescape comes in creating something unexpected from something ordinary.  And the fall season gives us all the tools necessary to do just that.

  {both pictures above from Martha}

You can even pair seasonal elements with an unexpected color to keep that lighthearted feel to your home.  Remember, we are working with mother nature's color palate here.

And you can never go wrong with a little glitz.  Especially on a pumpkin!

So think outside the box as you decorate your home or event for fall this year!  Or maybe I should say, outside the patch.

XOXO, Lauren

favorites of fall

*our url is otgbylauren.blogspot.com - ever wonder what otg stood for? I'll tell you! obsessions, thoughts, and giggles.*

obsessions: gingerbread lattes, coffee in general, my moccasin house shoes(that I may or may not wear in public)

thoughts: I wish Texas fall held more of the colors above (especially on the trees)

giggles: I know 70 degrees is substantially cooler than 110 degrees but it's no reason to bust out the triple layer winter parkas people!

What are your O's, T's and G's of Fall?

Today...

Today was a day full of

with lots of

(yes, both the coffee and the chocolate)

And, much to my chagrin,

a few meds had to come along the way to make today do-able.

Here's to productive Mondays!
XOXO,

Real Wedding: Stacy & Adam

Meet Stacy & Adam

and Coco too!

Although Stacy is originally from Waco, she met Adam up in the New England state of Rhode Island. Adam spotted her on her first day at her new job and was determined to make this Texas girl his!  The wedding included nods to Stacy's Texas upbringing (notice the beautiful star Adam had designed into her ring) as well as to their new home in New England (hello lanterns & beautiful blue).

They were married in May at the gorgeous Earle Harrison House here in Waco.

Their colors were Royal Blue, platinum, and white. The talented Esther Allen made their cakes.

And Rebecca Cash, owner of Captivating Photography, did a fantastic job on their photography.

Congratulations Stacy & Adam!! Wishing you Texas sized love!

XOXO,
Lauren
